Batch print management software launched
Friday 03 November, 2006
A new simple print management software application has been launched, aiming to make the batch printing process as simple as possible, getting the toner working for the user in the best possible way.
With SilentPrint, a configuration screen and Windows Taskbar Tray icon are all that the user is presented with, as the software helps to relieve the monotony and repetitiveness associated with printing large volumes of documents.
"SilentPrint simply monitors standard Windows folders for documents it can process," said Mark Dowson, technical director for FunAsset, which makes SilentPrint.
"When a supported document is detected it is automatically output on the printer associated with the folder. All a user needs to do is copy the documents they want printed and paste them in a folder being monitored by SilentPrint."
The software supports a host of different file formats, including pdf, html and doc files, meaning the system is flexible.
In addition to the printing capabilities, the documents can also easily be converted into pdf files using the same software and simple technique.
