In news which may be of interest to users of
Canon laser toner cartridges and
Canon printer cartridges, Canon is ahead of other large companies in taking action on climate change, it has emerged.
According to the results of a study by Climate Counts, Canon is ahead of any other large consumer-orientated organisation in taking action against climate change.
"Yahoo has been committed to offsetting emissions, but in the Climate Counts scoring system, offsetting emissions does not earn as many points as other activities that directly reduce greenhouse gas emissions," said the report.
"Apple stands out among the scored companies in the [electronics and computer] sector by lagging so significantly [27 points] behind the next highest scorer," the report added.
Overall, Canon received a score of 77 points out of a total of 100.
Dubbed The Company Scorecard Report, Climate Counts judged organisations on a total of 22 separate criteria, which may interest users of
Epson photo printers and
Lexmark printer cartridges.
Climate Counts is funded by Stonyfield Farm, an organic yoghurt company.
