Canon marks 2007 Earth Day

In news which may be of interest to users of
Canon laser toner cartridges and
Canon printer cartridges, Canon USA celebrated Earth Day with a number of activities at its headquarters.
Joined by a number of other organisations at the company's Long Island location, Canon implemented a number of activities; among the presentations included a wildlife talk by the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Centre.
Although Earth Day is recognised by the United Nations during the March equinox, a number of other countries around the world recognise the day on April 22nd each year.
"Canon's environmental conservation programmes and its recycling and waste-reduction programmes have been developed in the spirit of the company's philosophy of kyosei," said William Reed, senior vice president and general manager of corporate communications at Canon USA.
"[Kyosei means] all people … harmoniously living and working together into the future," he added.
Canon manufactures a number of products, including the
Canon iP4200 and the
Canon iP6700D.
