Canon revamps SELPHY range
Thursday 24 August, 2006
Printer solutions company Canon has announced that it is updating its range of compact photo printers by revamping the SELPHY series.
Out go the SELPHY CP710 and SELPHY CP510 and in come the SELPHY CP730 and SELPHY CP720, offering a new design and a host of useful features to make printing at home easier than ever before.
The CP730 and CP720 feature two-inch and 1.5-inch LCD screens respectively, while an icon-based user interface should make printing digital snaps easy for the biggest technophobe.
Canon has said the printers are being launched in response to the fact that 63 per cent of digital photos in western Europe are printed at home or in the office, with people shunning shops to fire up their SELPHYs.
The printers are capable of churning out a picture in under a minute (58 seconds) and with the My Colours photo effects on the CP730, users of the new SELPHYs need only make sure they have plenty of Canon printer cartridges to print off their masterpieces!
