DPW 2006 a success
Thursday 26 October, 2006
Digital Print World (DPW) 2006 has been hailed as a success by both organisers and exhibitors.
The event, which took place between October 17th and October 19th, attracted 4,679 visitors to London's Earls Court, a record amount of attendees for the printer solutions exhibition.
"This DPW was great for us. At the end of day on Wednesday this year we had seen twice as many visitors compared with all of last year's show," said Ben Milford, head of professional marketing, Canon.
"The quality of visitors to the show has been excellent. Previously people have been sceptical of digital, however this year companies are asking how they can convert to digital print."
Konica Minolta and Ricoh were equally full of praise for this year's event, with Ricoh commenting on how busy the show had been for the company and Konica Minolta saying that DPW '06 went "very well".
According to organisers, next year's show is already 75 per cent booked by exhibitors, with the likes of Canon, Kodak, Konica Minolta and Ricoh all booking on the back of this year's success.
One of the printers on show at DPW '06 was the bizhub PRO C6500e from Konica Minolta, which has recently gone on sale.
