Epson printer selected for prestigious event
Monday 05 February, 2007
An
Epson photo printer, which uses
Epson printer cartridges to create great quality digital photo prints, has been named as the official printer for one of the world's most glamorous events.
The
Epson Stylus Photo R1800 has been named the official printer of the Miss America 2007 competition, meaning there must be something special about the way the printer turns camera images into printed photos, using
Epson printer cartridges.
Selected by Bruce Boyajian, a veteran Miss America photographer, the
Epson Stylus Photo R1800 will be used to help the contestants remember this fantastic occasion.
"Epson's advances in print permanence have been designed to keep important memories from fading," said Patrick Chen, product manager, professional imaging, Epson.
"We know that the prints can't just look good today but also must look good for generations to come, so we are pleased to have our technology used for inspiring events… where the memories and the photos are so vitally important."
The
Epson printer cartridges used by the
Stylus Photo R1800 make use of MicroPiezo inkjet technology, which Epson says can offer resolutions up to 5760 x 1440 optimised dpi.
