Epson scanner series takes title

An Epson scanner series has won the accolade for the best scanner in Europe, following the announcement by the European Imaging and Sound Association (Eisa).

Eisa named the Epson Perfection V700 Photo and Perfection V750 Pro professional scanner series the European Scanner 2006-2007, a range that offers both professionals and enthusiasts good scanning options.

"The Perfection V700 Photo and Perfection V750 Pro are the world's first flatbed scanners to offer innovative features at an affordable price," said Khalil El-Dalu, general manager of Epson Middle East.

"Therefore it is great that the features and quality of output has been rewarded with a 'best in class' seal of approval by a prestigious collective of photo industry experts of the stature of the European Imaging and Sound Association."

Editors of 16 leading European photography magazines sat on the Eisa awards panel, judging products such as cameras and printers as well as scanners.

The scanner series' "innovative features and professional performance" were the reasons that it was selected as the winner, according to Epson.
