Home batch printing software released
Wednesday 11 October, 2006
FunAsset, the enterprise connectivity company, has announced that a 'lite' version of its batch printing software, SilentPrint, has been launched.
According to FunAsset, the original software, intended for use by large businesses was finding favour with both small businesses and home users, with the latter using it to batch print digital photographs.
However, many were unwilling to shell out the near £250, meaning FunAsset saw the need to introduce SilentPrint Office, which sells for £69.
"It appears most home and small business users are not too concerned about how quickly a batch of documents is printed but are more interested in removing the hassle and the time they waste manually printing each one," said Mark Williams, marketing coordinator for FunAsset.
"By introducing SilentPrint Office we are able to satisfy the low volume batch printing market at a price that is affordable even to individuals."
The new software could encourage further printing in the home and small businesses, meaning those people should stock up on their printer ink cartridges.
