HP printer criticised
Wednesday 01 November, 2006
An HP deskjet printer system has been given the dubious title of one of the worst products of the third quarter of the year.
The HP Deskjet F380 All-In-One, which is available on both sides of the Atlantic, was given the less than auspicious title by PC Magazine.
Retailing at just £60 and offering a host of capabilities, including printing, scanning and copying, the all-in-one, which uses HP print cartridges, was aimed at the home and home office user.
However, it did not find favour with PC Magazine's editorial team, who criticised the light-duty use machine for its speed and quality, two of the main areas that people address when picking out a printer.
Simply, the cons were listed as: "Below-par output quality. No fax support. No automatic document feeder," by the magazine.
With the pros listed just as the all-in-one's low price and the fact that it could print, copy and scan as any all-in-one can, it stood little chance of not featuring in the list!
