HP 'recovers ground' against Dell

In news which may be of interest to users of
HP printer cartridges and
HP A4 superior laser paper, Hewlett Packard (HP) is making inroads against Dell's market lead in the consumer PC sector.
According to a study by TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence, although Dell's brand still ranks first in consumer preferences at 41 per cent - for consumers likely to buy a PC within the next six months - 16 per cent of respondents would now choose a machine by HP.
The market intelligence firm found HP's brand preference scores to be at their highest for five years at least, reports the Investor's Business Daily.
"The momentum is behind HP at this point," said Roger Kay, an analyst with Endpoint Technologies Associates, a provider of market intelligence services.
"They've got a great marketing campaign," he added.
Apple came third in the poll of potential buyers at eight per cent, which may interest users of
Canon printer cartridges and
Canon laser toner cartridges.
