Konica Minolta lands more awards for magicolors
Monday 11 December, 2006
Konica Minolta's magicolor 7450 has added to its recent Better Buys for Business Editor's Choice award with another accolade.
The printer has been named one of Buyers Laboratory Inc's (BLI's) Fall 2006 Pick of the Year, with the colour laser impressing against a host of other printers that were tested and evaluated during the year.
BLI also gave a recommendation for the magicolor 2550 DN, which was recognised as the Fall 2006 Pick of the Year for the small workgroup multi pass colour printer market.
"What's really nice about the magicolor 2550 DN is that for a very low price, you get automatic duplexing and a standard PostScript driver; this is important because PostScript is the industry standard for colour printing and provides better colour output than a GDI driver," said BLI senior test engineer Paul DePaolo.
The magicolor 2550 DN is also PictBridge compatible, as is the magicolor 7450, meaning digital cameras sporting the technology can be connected and printing can begin with speed.
