In news which may be of interest to users of
Canon laser toner cartridges and users of the
Epson Stylus Photo R1800, Apple has announced the delay of its latest OS X release.
Codenamed Leopard, version 10.5 of Apple's Unix-based operating system was originally scheduled for release in June 2007, but will now be delayed until October because of a resource shift in favour of the company's iPhone.
"We now plan to show our developers a near final version of Leopard at the [Apple developer conference in June,] give them a beta copy to take home so they can do their final testing and ship Leopard in October," said Apple.
The company's iPhone is scheduled for release in June 2007.
In addition to Apple's operating system, the company manufactures a number of other products, including desktop computers, notebooks and production software, which may be of interest to users of printers such as the
Canon iP6700D and the
Epson Stylus Photo R1800.
