New Canon camcorder makes still photo printing easy

Canon has released a new digital camcorder, which makes it easy for consumers to take still pictures and print them.

Despite the fact that the HV10 is a camcorder and its primary use will be filming moving images, the world's smallest high definition video camcorder can also be used to capture the moment in a still photograph.

Offering 3.1 megapixel still photography, the HV10 has reasonable picture quality. But the ease of printing via the PictBridge system means there will be no need for someone to carry a camcorder and a separate stills camera.

PictBridge allows you to print pictures from a PictBridge-enabled camera on a PictBridge printer within seconds, meaning you better have plenty of Canon print cartridges on hand in case you get carried away!

The Canon HV10 also allows you to record at the same time as shooting still photographs using the DIGIC DV II processing engine, so there's no excuse for not capturing all those memorable moments.
