New HP printer cartridges to be launched
Friday 02 February, 2007
Hewlett Packard (HP) has revealed that it will introduce a new range of
HP printer cartridges onto the market as part of a new value range.
The new
HP printer cartridges will be launched as part of the XL range, with the XL suffix on any cartridge name. According to a report from PC Pro, the
HP printer cartridges will be high-yield and low-cost, aimed at large volume printers.
"What we want to give is a choice, not only of printer but also of the type of supply you can get for it," said Eduardo Macias, HP's business development project manager, according to PC Pro.
The new peripherals will be HP inkjet printer cartridges and will cover the full range of inkjet printers. The firm has said that the standard
HP printer cartridges will remain on sale, aimed at the less-frequent printer user.
According to the report, which emerged from the Think in Business event in Singapore, the Officejet range of printers will be the first to get the new XL HP printer cartridges, with the rest of the inkjet line-up to get similar products during 2007.
HP was recently recognised for its printer paper, featuring in the top three of a brand awareness ranking.
