Monday 08 January, 2007
Printer manufacturer OKI has been quick to announce to consumers that downloads will be made available to ensure the company's printer products are compatible with the new Windows Vista operating system (OS).
From February, the company has said that printer drivers will be available for download that will be compatible with Windows Vista, the latest eagerly-anticipated version of a Microsoft OS.
"We are dedicated to staying at the forefront of innovation and responding to the latest technologies in the marketplace," said John Ross, general manager at the Middle East division of OKI Printing Solutions, according to ITP Technology.
"Uptake of Windows Vista is expected to happen at a faster pace than any other operating system and we will be ready to respond to customer demands."
Security enhancements are among the benefits users are expecting to see from Windows Vista with regards to printers and printing.
Better protection from malicious software - malware - is just one way that the new OS claims to be more effective at keeping your computer and printer safe.
