Tuesday 09 January, 2007
The Buyer's Laboratory (BLI) Pick of the Year awards have recognised five Ricoh print devices as top performers in their market sectors.
The Aficio MP 3500 won for the best Segment 3 multi-functional device on the basis of its image quality and reliability while the Aficio MP C2500 took the colour MFD category for being low-priced but high-performing.
The Aficio SP C410DN headed up the colour printers category, while the Aficio MP 7500 MFD pulled out ahead of Segment 5 competitors for reliability.
Collectively, the Ricoh colour printer range bagged the coveted Line of the Year award, which it also won in 2005.
"Ricoh offers high quality printers in every category of the business," commented Marlene Orr, senior printer analyst at BLI.
"Ricoh prides itself on the level of research and development that goes into each and every launch", stated Chas Moloney, associate director of marketing.
"We are well aware that security and print costs are amongst our customers' highest priorities when it comes to print devices."
Ricoh has a 'zero-waste' policy at its manufacturing plants and runs a 'Green Centre', where old machines are re-commissioned and recycled in line with WEEE Directive guidelines, which came into force last week.
