School holds recycling event
Tuesday 13 March, 2007
A school in Bridgewater recently held a recycling event, which may be of interest to users of
Canon laser toner cartridges,
Canon printer cartridges and
Epson printer cartridges.
The recycling event at St George's Primary School in Wembdon was held on Friday March 9th and was held in order to help raise funds; the event was organised by the school's parent teacher association, reports the Bridgewater Mercury.
Prior to the event, children from the school were encouraged to bring in items for recycling, such as printer cartridges - which may have included
Lexmark printer cartridges,
HP printer cartridges and
HP laser toner cartridges - books, cans and mobile phones.
According to Oxfam, less than ten per cent of inkjet cartridges are recycled every year in spite of around 60 million being used.
