Three quarters using Lexmark technology
Tuesday 07 November, 2006
Lexmark has said that as many as three quarters of the world's leading companies and corporations in the financial and retail sectors use its technology.
The company has said that its popularity within certain business sectors has also led to an improvement in its home user-focused equipment, which benefits from the sector knowledge that the company has.
Announcing the launch of the Lexmark X5470 All-In-One with fax and photo in the United Arab Emirates, the company's vice president revealed the statistic.
"75 per cent of the world's leading banks, retailers and pharmacies use Lexmark's printing solutions to save money and get more done," said Najib Bahous, Lexmark vice president and president of its consumer printer division.
"We are using our expertise from serving these demanding customers to develop products that bring business-class performance to the home."
The new all-in-one focuses on speed and ease of use, with PictBridge camera compatibility joining Lexmark's Fast Pics and Imaging Studio software to achieve this goal.
The all-in-one uses photo printer ink, which aims to give printed digital photos greater detail in part due to the wide range of colours available.
