Xerox has successful Q3
Tuesday 24 October, 2006
Xerox has announced that its third quarter revenue grew by two per cent during the period, with printer installations rising.
Black-and-white printer system installations in offices rose by ten per cent in the third quarter, with a 46 per cent growth in the number of colour multifunction systems installed.
In total, just under half (48 per cent) of the company's third quarter equipment sales came from colour products such as ink cartridges and printers, up seven per cent on the same period from 2005. Revenue from the sale of colour systems, meanwhile, climbed by 16 per cent in Q3 2006.
"Install activity was up for Xerox digital systems in key markets like office multifunction and production colour," said Anne M Mulcahy, Xerox chairman and chief executive officer.
"Our expertise in document management flowed through to post-sale growth of seven per cent from global services."
Xerox last week scooped a number of awards at the Graph Expo show in Chicago, where it won two Must See 'Em awards, two Still Worth a Look awards and a number of Gold Ink accolades.
