Wednesday 18 October, 2006
Xerox has been one of the stars of the show at Graph Expo 2006 in Chicago this week, landing a host of awards for its products.
The exhibition in "the windy city" ends today and Xerox has certainly impressed many observers judging by its success at the show. The company was the recipient of two Must See 'Em awards, two Still Worth a Look accolades and three Gold Ink awards.
"Xerox remains focused on helping professional printers profit, by continuing to develop innovative digital technologies that increase productivity and provide business-building opportunities," said Bill Lamparter, president of PrintCom Consulting Group, the company that sponsors the Must See 'Em awards.
Xerox's much-publicised Nuvera Digital Duplex system picked up a Must See 'Em accolade, as did the company's DocuColour 5000 Digital Press.
The Xerox iGen3 Digital Production Press was again recognised with a Still Worth a Look award, while the Gold Ink awards were awarded to a company that utilises Xerox printing technology as well as two going to Xerox itself.
Gold Ink-winning company, Tucker Printers, praised Xerox as it accepted the award: "The Xerox iGen3 has changed the way we do business, and our award-winning applications are proof of that," said Craig Reynolds, president of Tucker Printers.
