Xerox's commitment to the environment

Printer maker Xerox has announced that it is to be even more committed to the environment, with an investment to contribute to forest improvement.
The company, that is the world's largest distributor of cut-sheet paper, revealed the information as it launched its first global citizenship report, entitled Revealing Our True Colours.
Xerox Colour Impressions is one of the paper ranges that the company produces, offering a "professional finish to your office and production colour documents".
"In a world of necessarily complex and varied metrics, one stands taller than all the rest. Each generation of Xerox people strives to leave the company, the communities in which we do business, and the world at large better than we found it," said Anne Mulcahy, Xerox chairman and chief executive officer.
"We all feel that we are part of an ongoing experiment to demonstrate that good business and good values are not only compatible but synergistic."
Xerox has said that its monetary contribution to the The Nature Conservancy will further its environmentally-friendly work, which already includes an initiative to develop 100 per cent recycled printer paper.
