Arctic Monkey makes ex-girlfriend 'financial secure'
Monday 30 April, 2007
The ex-girlfriend of the Arctic Monkeys' frontman has allegedly been made financially secure "for life".
The gesture has been reportedly made after Alex Turner included his former girlfriend's name on the credits for one of the band's forthcoming songs, reports the Post Chronicle.
"Johanna and Alex are still close friends. They might not be going out with each other any longer, but there's still a great deal of affection between the couple," said a source to the Daily Star.
Ms Bennet and Mr Turner separated in January 2007 after a two-year relationship.
The accreditation will appear against the band's forthcoming single, Fluorescent Adolescent.
Formed in 2002, the Arctic Monkeys have been described as an indie-rock band, with the band members originally coming together in Sheffield.
