A monkey has gone on a rampage at a school in India, it has emerged.
According to the Times of India, the monkey broke into a Jewish school for girls in Kolkata on Wednesday morning, while the students were taking a break.
However, the monkey was later caught with the assistance of an unspecified number of bananas and taken to a local police station.
"The monkey is doing well. It became aggressive as it was out of its group," said V K Yadav, a deputy chief wildlife warden.
Reports suggest that the monkey surprised a number of students and sought to steal tiffin from them; in once case resistance was met with a slap.
Tiffin is a term that refers to a small or light lunch and - in India - may be composed of rice, dal or naan.
