Monkeys as clowns
Friday 13 July, 2007
Sheffield band Arctic Monkeys appeared on BBC show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross last week, dressed up in clown costumes.
The group performed their latest single Fluorescent Adolescent in front of a live audience, complete with red noses and baggy clown suits.
In the band's video for the same song, two gangs of clowns fight each other - and last Friday's pre-recorded show was in recognition of this.
On Friday July 6th, Arctic Monkeys took to the stage in Glasgow for T in the Park and became the festival's first Friday night headliners.
It is the first time, the Balado-held musical event has been run over three nights since its inception in 1994.
Alex Turner and his band rattled through 20-odd songs, including Dancing Shoes, A Certain Romance and Fake Tales of San Francisco.
