Canon announces launch of new large format printers

In news which may be of interest to users of
Canon laser toner cartridges and
Canon printer cartridges, Canon has announced the launch of two new large-format printers.
Dubbed the imagePROGRAF iPF6100 and the iPF5100, the two new printers are able to offer a maximum print resolution of up to 2,400x1,200 dots per inch, with print sizes up to 24-inches and 17-inches respectively.
"These latest imagePROGRAF models continue Canon's tradition of stunning colours, detailed prints and archival image quality at astounding print speeds to provide our [users] with the best tools for their artistic craft," said Jim Rosetta, vice president and generage manager of the image systems group at Canon USA.
Both printers offer a dual print head, which features 2,560 nozzles per colour, resulting in a total of 30,720 ink nozzles, which may interest users of printers such as the
Canon Pixma MP600, the
Canon iP4200 and the
Canon iP6700D.
