In news which may be of interest to users of
Lexmark printer cartridges and
Epson printer cartridges, the Pixma iP1800 has been received favourably in a recent review.
According to the results of a recent review by PC Advisor, although the Pixma iP1800 lacks a number of features found in other Canon printers, photographs and text outputs were reviewed favourably.
In black, the iP1800 prints at a resolution of 600x600 dpi, while colour output bears a resolution of 4,800x1,200 dpi.
"The Canon Pixma iP1800 exceeded our expectations of how well a £29 printer could perform," said PC Advisor.
"Although shadow detail was lacking and blacks appeared too light, the Canon Pixma iP1800's ability to produce very good photos was impressive," it added.
Among the features lacking on this printer include a photo-card reader, an output tray and the absence of any PictBridge support.
Other members of the Pixma range include the
Canon Pixma MP600, which may be of interest to users of
HP A4 photo gloss laser paper.
