Dell extends printer range
Thursday 09 November, 2006
Dell has extended its printer range by announcing the launch of its first multi-function colour laser device for consumers in Western Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The computer giant, which claims that businesses are increasingly turning to the use of multi-function printers in order to increase productivity and lower operating costs, says that the new Dell Multifunction Colour Laser Printer 3115cn model will be ideal for the needs of small and medium sized businesses.
Dell claims that the 3115cn "combines fast colour print speeds, standalone and network colour scanning, walk-up colour copying and standalone fax into a single robust machine, providing exceptional price-performance and total cost of ownership benefits".
Features of the new printer, which will be available to order in western Europe from November 14th, include the ability to print up to 30 pages per minute in colour and up to 17 in monochrome, in addition to printer management network software which allows customers to restrict access to colour printing functions to anyone but essential users, should they choose.
Meanwhile, Dell has also revealed that it is extending the provision of technical support available to its consumers in Canada and the United States by expanding its customer call centre in Ottawa.
The computer manufacturer currently has around 30 customer call centres worldwide.
