Epson takes action against cartridge counterfeiters

In news which may be of interest to users of
Epson printer cartridges, Epson Australia has taken action against individuals and groups engaged in patent infringement and the counterfeiting of inkjet cartridges in Australia and New Zealand.
In both countries, the firm is examining the import of compatible non-Epson produced cartridges, in addition to making use of private investigators to track the sale of counterfeit products, reports Ferret.com.au.
Epson is currently settling a number of patent infringements with companies based in the US, Germany, Hong Kong and Korea.
In related Epson news, until February 28th, the company will be exhibiting at the Focus on Imaging event at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, which may be of interest to users of
Epson photo printers or
Lexmark printer cartridges.
A number of products will be on display, which may include the
Epson Stylus Photo R1800 and the
Epson PictureMate 240.
