Lexmark C534 under review
Friday 09 March, 2007
The Lexmark C534 laser printer introduces the company to the sub-£1,000 laser printer market, a reviewer has claimed, which may be of interest to users of
Lexmark laser printers and
Lexmark printer cartridges.
According to a review by PC Plus, although the printer is a little on the large side, print resolutions of up to 1,200 dpi are possible in full duplex colour mode, in addition to print speeds of up to 20 ppm.
Toner cartridges for the printer are priced at around £60, with black cartridges costing less.
"For perfect photograph reproduction there are countless better options than the C534 or a laser in general," states PC Plus.
"[However,] for a workhorse printer employed for large volumes of text output with some colour on the page then the C534 works well," it adds.
Overall, although blacks are rendered well, both black and white and colour images tend to edge towards being too dark, which may interest users of
HP printer cartridges and
HP A4 superior laser paper.
Lexmark offers a number of printing products for customers such as home users and small to medium-sized enterprises.
