Lexmark unleashes new all-in-one
Monday 18 September, 2006
Lexmark launched a new all-in-one printer onto the UK market recently and has been waxing lyrical about the capabilities of its new machine, which offers photo, fax and copy options all for less than £100.
The X5470 has a print speed of 25 pages per minute (ppm) for black and white and a credible 18ppm for colour printing. It also features a ten-sheet automatic document feeder, to make printing easy and fast.
"Performance, price and protection the Lexmark X5470 brings them all together to give demanding home office users more printing productivity and peace of mind," said Najib Bahous, Lexmark vice president and president of its consumer printer division.
The company has said that with three quarters of the world's leading banks, pharmacies and retailers using Lexmark equipment, it feels it can bring its knowledge and capabilities of these sectors to improve home printing.
Using PictBridge cameras or memory cards, consumers can print directly without the need to go through a PC, allowing the inkjet to get moving and print off borderless four by six inch prints.
