New meaning to mobile printing
Tuesday 24 October, 2006
A printer that is doing the rounds in Malaysia is giving a whole new meaning to the phrase 'mobile printing'.
The Canon Digital Experience Mobile Intelligent GMC truck has been on display in the region of Penang, offering visitors to the Lam Loong Photography Fair a chance to see the latest way to print photos on the move.
The truck is effectively a mobile office, allowing the driver and their passengers to print photos on the road.
"Just fix it into your dashboard and you can print photographs on the spot no matter where you are," said Canon senior sales executive Johnny Tay, according to the Malaysia Star.
"Imagine the convenience of processing your road trip pictures on the spot. You can even do all your paper work on a laptop and print everything immediately."
Canon UK recently announced the launch of new media storage viewers with hard drives of 30Gb or 80Gb, perfect for digital photographers.
