New photo printers for pros from HP
Tuesday 26 September, 2006
HP has used the Photokina imaging show, currently taking place in the German city of Cologne, to launch two new photo printers onto the European market.
The Designjet Z2100 and Z3100 allow professional photographers to print "museum-quality colour and black and white photos", according to HP, up to 44 inches wide.
"Today's announcements move HP significantly closer to realising the next phase of our vision for creating an all-digital photography marketplace," said Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president, Imaging and Printing Group, HP.
"HP is the only company with the depth and breadth of offerings to aggressively transform the photography industry in order to enable more compelling, personal and memorable experiences in markets around the world."
The comments came as HP revealed a host of new products and initiatives, including the expansion of its digital photo retail business in Europe and the development of additional tools for HP Indigo presses.
