OKI goes small with A3 printer
Tuesday 14 November, 2006
OKI Printing Solutions has announced details of its new A3 colour printer which it believes is the smallest printer of its kind available in Europe.
The C8600, whose range includes the C8600n, C8600dn and C8600cdtn, is said to be just half the size of similar offerings from competitors, meaning it is ideal for small businesses where space is an issue.
The C8600, which has the ability to print in colour at 26 pages per minute (ppm) and at 32ppm for mono, will be available from November 27th.
The paper capacity of the printer is an impressive 930 sheets, while it can print on anything from A6 to A3 and on banners that are up to 1.2 metres long.
Tony Lock, senior manager of marketing and sales of colour products at OKI Printing Solutions (EMEA), explained: "This year, OKI Printing Solutions has pushed the boundaries in order to achieve outstanding innovation; first in launching its new award-winning design philosophy showcased in the C3000 Series, and now with this category defining product.
"In unveiling Europe's first compact A3 colour page printer, we are not only redefining the A3 colour printer market, but the very way in which businesses create professional documents."
