OKI says it's easy to change its printer cartridges
Friday 11 August, 2006
OKI has declared that it is easy to change its printer cartridges as it has designed its printers to be accessible to even those with low technical know-how.
Through producing printers with common parts, OKI claims that cartridges as well as fusers and belt-kits can be changed by anyone in under two minutes.
"Changing consumables is as simple as opening the printer's top cover, unclipping the empty cartridge, sliding the fresh cartridge into its slot and closing the top cover again. It's truly child's play," boasted Neil Rom, managing director of Printacom.
Changing printer cartridges is often difficult, both for those adept and averse to technology.
However, OKI claims that it uses LEDs and other technologies in its printers which leads to a simple, common system which applies across its range of printers.
Not only does Mr Rom claim that this makes cartridges and other parts easier to change and maintain, but this should reduce the total overall cost for the printers.
