Thursday 03 May, 2007
In news which may be of interest to users of
Canon printer cartridges and
Epson printer cartridges, Ricoh has announced the launch of a new range of gel printers.
Available with a two-year on-site guarantee, Ricoh's new range allows users to print at a rate of up to 30 pages per minute; duplex printing is also possible, reports Vnunet.
Indeed, with gel-based printing methods, as the ink dries on the surface of the paper the printed output is waterproof and not prone to bleeding, blurs or smudges.
"The technology has the speed of a laser, but the purchase cost is closer to an inkjet," said Helen Berentzen, senior product manager for Ricoh.
"Running costs are also lower," she added.
Ricoh manufactures a range of products, that include scanners, fax machines and copies, which may be of interest to users of
Lexmark printer cartridges and
HP laser toner cartridges.
