Ricoh signs deal with reseller
Wednesday 17 January, 2007
Print management company Ricoh has teamed up with distributor Northamber in a bid to enhance its reseller base.
Ricoh is hoping to take advantage of the company's well trodden routes to market in the print arena.
The move is part of a drive to encourage IT departments to purchase print systems that are not limited to desktop devices.
Paul Cheetham, director of dealer sales at Ricoh UK said: "Our partnership with Northamber will create more opportunities to secure this type of business."
He added: "We also hope it will open the door to larger, long-term print infrastructure deals as IT departments take greater responsibility for overall print strategies in the future."
Northamber's managing director, Henry Matthews, said that he recognised the sector was a "tough market to crack", but that he was confident in Ricoh's ability to establish itself as a "major player".
Ricoh's achievements to date include the invention of the first digital black and white copier.
