Wednesday 28 February, 2007
Sony has announced the European launch of two new photo printers, which may be of interest to users of
Canon printer cartridges,
Epson printer cartridges and
Lexmark laser printers.
Available from May 2007, the new printers offer dye sublimation technology, combined with fast printing and functionality independent of a PC.
The DPP-FP90 and the DPP-FP70 offer on-board LCD screens, sized at 3.6 inches and 2.5 inches respectively and enable a number of special effects including fish-eye, sepia and black and white.
"Images can be enlarged, reduced, cropped, shifted and rotated before printing with control over brightness and colouration," said Sony.
Both the FP90 and FP70 also offer "face-detection technology" to make sure special photographic moments are captured with everyone's faces remaining "natural-looking".
Sony has also announced the launch of its new Cyber-Shot T20 digital camera, which may be of interest to users of
HP printer cartridges and
HP laser toner cartridges.
