Canon imagePRESS C1 delights owner

The first company in the world to sign up for Canon's imagePRESS C1 has recently taken delivery of the product and is happy with what the new printer can do.
Canon's latest press was launched at this year's Ipex exhibition, offering a printing speed of 14 A4 pages per minute. Guildford company Zap Digital was the first name on the order sheet.
"The machine will make a big difference for us because the technology is getting much closer to litho. I had never seen anything like it before," said Dave Brooks, co-owner of Zap Digital, according to Print Week.
This is a point reinforced by Canon UK's own imagePRESS product manger, Pete Daniels: "The key driver on the C1 is the image quality. This has the look and feel of litho."
The imagePRESS C1 offers a resolution of 1200 dpi with 256 graduations, which offers outstanding picture quality, according to the company.
It is also capable of printing and proofing on a wide range of media sizes up to and including 13" x 19".
