Canon promotes graphic arts
Tuesday 06 February, 2007
Canon is working together with schools to promote the graphic arts sector as a career choice, where students could be using
Canon printer cartridges or
Canon laser toner cartridges in their future day-to-day lives.
2007 is the second year of the PrintIT! intitative to encourage school children to consider a career in graphic arts and Canon is providing cash and equipment, which utilises
Canon printer cartridges, as prizes.
"Canon fully supports the idea behind PrintIT! and the aim of getting young people, while they are still at school, to consider the graphic arts industry for a potential career," said Ben Milford, head of professional marketing.
"As a key supplier to the market, Canon appreciates as much as anyone the need to attract bright young people to take the industry forward."
HP is also a sponsor of PrintIT! suggesting that
HP printer cartridges could also be something the students become familiar with using.
Last year, prizes that went to the winning schools included all-in-one printer, copier, scanners, as well as digital print suites, enabling them to get the best out of their
Canon printer cartridges and
HP printer cartridges.
