Get to know your printer to keep post-holiday blues at bay
Thursday 03 August, 2006
An online company has offered a set of guidelines to help those of you returning to the office following a nice summer break to put off the blues that usually accompany the trip.
When your email inbox is full and the light on the printer lets you know you're out of printer ink, it can often seem that the holiday was one year away, not one day away, but Avery has come up with a plan to help you keep smiling.
And perhaps one of the most pertinent points is also very simple. The company encourages you to get to know your computer and printer so you know how to get the best out of them.
Avery offers the advice: "Take advantage of the free online tutorials available at Avery Plus, to help you get the best out of your computer and printer.
"Unlike that pesky paperclip guy that appears on your screen uninvited, you'll receive bespoke support and advice tailored to your specific work frustrations and registration will take no longer than your mid-morning latte."
This will allow you to understand when you need a printer ink refill and when you just need a new printer.
Other advice offered includes lots of mini to-do lists, a staff night out and planning the next day the night before to keep away those post-holiday blues.
