Printer manufacturer HP claims that its latest product range – the Designjet 8000s series – will provide an "easy to use solution for traditional signmakers and print shops looking to grow their businesses".
Costing around £12,250, the first shipment has just been sent to the UK after its versatility, high print quality and affordable price made it a hit in the US.
Printing up to 64 inches wide, the HP Designjet 8000s print at high speeds of 10.2 square metres per hour, at 540 x 720 dpi and boast a heavy-duty platform with six piezo printheads and 500ml HP 780 ink cartridges.
Impressive accessories include the HP Designjet 8000s Take-Up Reel Kit and HP Designjet High Speed Dryer for unattended printing and improved productivity.
Enrique Lores, vice-president and general manager at HP's large format printing division, commented: "HP's family of low-solvent devices is helping customers expand their businesses with safe, yet robust solutions that produce high-impact, durable outdoor signage.
"The addition of the HP Designjet 8000s furthers HP's commitment to giving customers exceptionally easy-to-use solutions and ensuring a unique, reliable experience from printing to maintenance and support."
