Hewlett-Packard (HP) is looking to make a bigger impression on the graphic arts sector by creating a division dedicated to improving its printer and printing options for the market.
The company is pleased with its positioning and role in the home and office printing sectors and is now looking to make a greater impact on the graphic arts market by driving the adoption of digital printing and improving the introduction of new technology.
"HP has already achieved leadership over the home and office printing markets by carefully listening to the needs of its customers and fulfilling them through innovative solutions," said Francois Martin, graphic arts marketing manager.
"Now HP is ready to provide digital printing solutions to every part of the graphic arts market with robust technologies and partnerships."
Large format printing, wide format printing, digital presses and the company's speciality printing systems will all be encompassed by the new graphic arts division.
HP was recently praised by PC Magazine for the quality of its inkjet printers in the publication's Manufacturer of the Year Awards 2005-06.
