Konica Minolta launches new magicolor range

Konica Minolta has launched a new range of colour laser printers, aimed to provide the printing solution to a range of office environments.
The magicolor 5500 series is able to "maximise toner efficiency", according to Konica Minolta, by being able to differentiate between printing images and text. An economy button on the printer series allows 50 per cent less toner use when printing business documents, which can lower printer costs.
"Konica Minolta's focus is to increase the presence of its colour laser printers in the enterprise market by providing solutions that meet the complex needs of our customers," said Frank Akihary, general manager sales and marketing Konica Minolta Printing Solutions Europe, Middle East and Africa.
"With its groundbreaking innovations, the magicolor 5500 series goes beyond the limits by delivering customers superior quality and performance whilst contributing to a lower total cost of ownership."
The printer series is capable of printer speeds of 35 pages per minute (ppm) in monochrome and 30 ppm for colour prints. Banner prints up to 216mm x 1200mm are also possible.
The printing solutions division of Konica Minolta was formed in 1977, meaning it has been manufacturing products such as the magicolor 5500 series for almost 30 years.
