Lexmark looks to have big impact in '07

Lexmark is looking to make 2007 the year of the
Lexmark printer cartridge by challenging the dominance of HP in the printer market.
The company has said that it intends to grow sales to take on the market share that HP currently commands, suggesting
Lexmark printer cartridges could soon be challenging
HP printer cartridges in the sales figures.
Lexmark has recently boasted some strong figures in the laser printer market, where Lexmark laser toner cartridges are an important peripheral, and it is looking to build on this success in 2007.
"We have some very aggressive goals this year. I'd like to grow the SME [small and medium-sized enterprise] business, in terms of sales, by 40 to 50 per cent," said Mark Seaman, SME director at Lexmark UK, to CRN.
"If we grow by that much then we will significantly grow our market share. Our aim is to make a mark on HP's market share."
Lexmark is currently offering SMEs the chance to get up to £150 cashback on the C53x series of printers.
