New HD toner from Konica Minolta

Konica Minolta has announced the release of a new toner, described as a "next generation polymerised" printing product.
Known as Simitri HD, the new toner can print digital images in the finest of gradients, according to Konica Minolta, and is cost effective due to the fact that it actually uses less toner than previous products.
"Konica Minolta's extensive research and development in high definition toner and improvements in the capabilities of its polymerised toner, strengthens its position as leading toner manufacturer," said Hiroyuki Masuda, manager, product marketing EMEA.
"Due to its innovative technology, the quality and durability of documentation printed in the office becomes of offset quality."
The new toner could even mean fewer paper jams, the company has said. Simitri HD works at a much lower temperature than previous toners, which means a reduced risk of paper curling, a known cause of jams.
Lower temperatures also means 15 per cent energy use, another bonus of Konica Minolta's new toner.
Just last month, Konica Minolta released the new bizhub C252, aimed at the office environment that is set to benefit from the new Simitri toner.
