Ricoh to debut colour screen technology
Friday 18 August, 2006
Ricoh has revealed it is to debut colour screen technology on two printers in its range.
The MP C2500 and MP C3000 are both multifunctional printers, with the colour screens apparently displaying both images and texts as clearly as a computer screen.
"Colour screens are now commonplace on everyday technology, such as PDAs and mobile phones, so it was inevitable that this feature would be available on MFDs," said Eddie Hall, Ricoh production manager.
"But the panel is more than just a trend, offering greater accessibility to the technology for all users."
Greater accessibility could mean greater use for the MP C2500 and MP C3000 multifunctional printers, so users should be sure to stock up on the toner for these two machines, which can copy, print, scan and fax.
The MPs have a print speed of 25-30 pages per minute, according to Ricoh and can print in both black and white and colour.
