Shoreham printing company donates to tree planting campaign
Thursday 01 March, 2007
A printing company in Shoreham has announced its decision to support a tree planting campaign, which may be of interest to users of
Lexmark printer cartridges,
HP laser toner cartridges and
HP office paper.
Gemini Press is backing the Tree for All campaign by the Woodland Trust to plant 12 million trees by donating five per cent of the cost of the first order of every new client in 2007, reports the Argus.
"We have linked up with the Woodland Trust because it is such a worthy cause and enables us to replace trees that are used in the printing process and protect and enhance the countryside," said Nigel Homes, director of Gemini Press.
The company has taken a number of steps towards reducing paper consumption, including the sending of saplings to new clients instead of Christmas cards and supplying proofs via email when feasible, which may be of interest to users of
Lexmark laser printers and
Canon printer cartridges.
The Woodland Trust is a UK-based charity committed to the protection of the woodland.
