Tally printers go down well at hospital
Tuesday 25 July, 2006
TallyGenicom, the global manufacturer of printers, printer parts and consumables, has announced that the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary has chosen a selection of the company's 9022N mono laser printers and 6306 line matrix printers.
The printers have now been rolled out across the hospital, where they are used for printing prescriptions and patient records, among other things.
"The 6306 and 9022N are the fastest printers in their respective classes, which is important in a busy hospital environment," said TallyGenicom's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, Robin Edwardes.
"Huddersfield Royal Infirmary needed a printer that was not only fast and reliable, but cost effective as well. It has got that with the 6306 and 9022N."
The 6306 can print up to 600 lines per minute and is designed to cope with the day-to-day heavy duty demands of the hospital.
"I can't fault TallyGenicom printers at all, on the odd occasion when we have had a problem the technical support team are always out to fix it very quickly," said Neil Asling, Hudderfield Royal Infirmary's IT support manager.
The 9022N features ethernet connectability making the sharing of resources at the hospital easy.
