TallyGenicom, the printer solutions company, has received a boost to its reputation and business by being awarded a support contract for all UK Asda stores.
The company has announced that it will now be responsible for line matrix and serial matrix support for all of the supermarket's stores after being awarded the contract by Asda's service provider IBM.
"Knowing the variable nature of Asda's business, TallyGenicom and IBM wanted to ensure that all of its line and matrix printer needs were met," said TallyGenicom's vice president of world wide marketing, Robin Edwardes.
"TallyGenicom service ensures that quality and productivity of output remains high. I am delighted that IBM has chosen TallyGenicom to provide support for Asda's printers and we will ensure that Asda will realise the benefits of our printer services for years to come."
Through the deal, TallyGenicom will supply Asda stores with two types of printer, the 6312WM line matrix printer and 2340/9 dot matrix printer.
Both printers are designed to be quiet and have a smaller footprint than traditional line matrix and dot matrix printers.
