Xerox announces Imaging Services Centres
Monday 11 September, 2006
Xerox, the imaging and document management company, has announced that it has introduced a number of Imaging Services Centres across the world, many of which have appeared in Europe.
The UK, Spain and the Netherlands are all countries where the centres have sprung up, offering scanning and imaging services to customers in need of a printer away from home.
"The trend toward digitisation is strong, but sometimes different regions such as those with numerous borders and regulations pose challenges that can only be addressed by moving to the region," said Tom Dolan, president, Xerox Global Services.
"By establishing facilities in these countries, we're bringing our imaging capabilities to the global customers, rather than the other way around."
Similar centres are located in numerous countries outside Europe, including Brazil, Japan, Singapore and the United States.
However, some will still choose to buy their own ink cartridges and print in the office or at home, with a large selection of new multi-function printers recently flooding the market.
